    Red face Breasts!

Ok don't know if I am posting in the right place so feel free to move it. Just wanted to know how long after you had finished breastfeeding did your breast keep making milk? My little girl is 3 and I BF her til she was 1.5yo. Have not had any probs with milk supply, just kinda went away. Anyway over the last week my breasts have been feeling heavy and I get that sensation when your milk lets down. If I massage my breasts I can even get some milk out. What on earth is going on!!!

Laura - I have no idea! hehe. Maybe you're pregnant? A friend of mine was lactating for aaaages after she weaned her little girl. Every time a baby cried she'd get letdown.

Sorry I don't have any answers. Hope someone can help you

Laura, don't want to scare you now. I have a 7 year age gap between DS #2 and DS #3 I bf #2 til he was 9 months old and still could get some milk out if I squeeze uptil the time I fell pg with the next baby. I must say though, I don't remember getting the letdown sensation after he was weaned though.

I fed DS #3 til he was 20 months and still had milk when I fell pg with Tehya too. Although that was only 6 months later.

I have thought of the whole pregnant thing. Its slightly possible as I am on the pill and my hormones have been wacked out for the last month. Have been getting mucous which looks pink and really really light bleeding all month which has never happened to me before. Would just be weird if Ifeel preggers on the pill. I am not the strictest of ppl taking it. Like your supposed to take it at the same time everyday but I have never done that the whole time I have beeen on them and have occasionally missed a day or two. When should I do a pg test just to check?

P.S. Trish my mum told me that she used to be able to get milk out for ten years after she finished b/f her last bubba!

My Aunts youngest is 12 now & when she nursed Indah as a new born, she got the letdown sensation, she said it's worse if she is holding a baby & it starts to cry.. but even if she is out shopping & a new born baby cries she gets tingly boobies like letdown....
