Hair loss after birth - how long does it last?

I am losing lots and lots of hair, which I know is very normal after giving birth.
My question is, how long did you lose heaps of hair for? I feel like I'll be bald soon.

    thanks

I SO thought that I was going to go bald. I lost SO MUCH. It would fall out in huge clumps. It made really become really anxious (I suffer from anxiety) and upset. People said that they couldn't notice, but I could. I ended up with the bald patches where men get them on either side of my temple. Anyway it lasted from when James with three months, until about 5 - 6 months. Then it stopped falling out. Now I have heaps of regrowth, which is starting to look funny, but as I have curls you can't notice it too much.
Dont worry you wont go bald, and the new hair will start coming in soon.

Oh - tho other thing that you have to look for, is that bub doesn't get your hair caught around any appendages, as this can cause problems.

I'm still losing heaps too, though getting it cut short a month ago has been a huge help. I lost so much i thought my really thick hair was getting thin (and was worried about all the thin haired mums out there) - my hairdresser quickly put paid with that but telling me she was glad I'd lost some, but it's still so thick we need two hairdresser to dry it in under an hour lol.

When i first fell pregi i made the decision to grow my hair hormones and all i was blade 3 at the back and very short over by the time i gave birth my hair was down to my shoulders and very curly after bubs it started to fall out every where and it when really dry and as im a swim teacher it was really horrible. The pregi hormones are great while they last my hair was never better so out of frustration i cut it all off i regret it so much as i know it will take a lot of time and patience to grow it back i promised i would never cut my hair again now i know i never will again

Mine stopped when DD was about 5 or 6 months. It just quit one day, like Thursday i lost handfuls and handfuls in the shower, Friday i lost 3. Just like that. My re-growth is about 4 inches long and looks kind of stupid but it sure is nice to have thicker hair again. Mine is thick but fine so when it thinned out i really noticed, although others didn't so much, only XP (who saw me everyday) said he could see it. And even then, he only said "you're hair's getting thicker again" so it was the recovery he niticed iykwim.

I started losing my hair about 1m ago, and its still coming out quite badly. I hate the hair all over the bathroom floor, so I brush outside.
Hopefully it wont go for too much longer, I think I'l get abit of a trim done in the next couple of weeks to help with the ends, but its a sad state of affairs here!

I had my hair fall out so badly i thought i had cancer (although now know its the therapy that makes you lose your hair and not the actual cancer) before i knew i was pregnant with DS1 nearly ten years ago

Then i lost heaps and heaps with the last two pregnancies, but its starting to thicken up again now, hope not to lose heaps again cause could mean i am pregnant lol, not planning on it anytime soon
