Does any mother out there remember to do their pelvic floor exercises? I have trouble remembering to do them. I know I should because I have had five kids and my physio has said that I am a high risk of having a prolapse? Is there any way that triggers your mind to do them?

I really hate doing them... as Tulip says, it is hard for me, and I really dont like the feeling very much.
But then I am petrified of prolapse in later life.
Maybe I should set a stop watch for myself or something and make myself do them for 5 mins every night before I go to sleep?
I have 5 children all natural deliveries and four out of five have been posterior. I think I have got that problem of incontinence and I am now having to wear pads. I have been told by my physio that I am in a high risk of having a prolapse(if I don't have a minor one already) because I have had a few difficult deliveries including a vacumn delivery, which I heard can cause a lot of damage to your pelvic floor. Because of that I have been told not to lift any heavy objects(a bit hard to do when I have a baby to carry around and a three year old who I have to lift sometimes). I am trying to restrict the things I have to lift. I am doing my pelvic floor exercises but I don't think they are working.
I am thinking of having number 6(this will probably be the last) and I am considering having an elective c/s because of the fear of the problem with my pelvic floor.

Just went for a visit to my gyno who inserted a IUD and he has told me I have a minor prolapse and told me to start doing my pelvic floor exercises. I said I was trying but I can not feel anything. I think I might have to go to a physio to see if they can help me again.

well... i am a HUGE believer in PFE !!! all my female friends get the "Do your PFE's" lecture from me after having their babies... Not only does it help with controlling your bladder, it does help with your sex life... And, i totally agree with Brookey... both men and women should do these exercises... I remember to do them at EVERY red light (awesome when you live in a city!!) and i do them every time i am on the phone... after a while it just becomes habit and you hardly notice you're doing them.
