It happens every time... but it is normal right?

Every baby I have bled for ages after. Evan was 11 weeks & Glenn & Isla were about 9.
So here I am at 6 weeks & thought I was doing really well I hadn't had any bleeding for over a week. Now here I am again spotting. Its not alot but its still blood. Fresh blood.
TMI there was a little bit of something. It looked like a bit of blood soaked paper really (cuz it was thin, not chunky LOL)about the size of my pinky fingernail.
Is it possible there was still a little bit of something that has come away.

Im so sick of bleeding! Im obviously due to go have my 6 week check but I will wait till the new year. But I also need a pap smear at the same time so I figure there is no point going till the bleeding stops. But Should I go because I still am bleeding?

I would think if it's been normal for you all the other times, then it's probably normal this time too. I'd probably only be concerned if it got heavy or painful. I bleed for a good 6 weeks post birth. Only to then have my period back by 3 months with #1 and 5 months with #2. I too would get little bits and pieces coming away too.. probably just a cleansing thing that the body is doing. But even with blood clots I was told to only worry if it was bigger than a 20c piece.

I'd probably wait til new year, unless it's going to worry you.

Thanks Liz, Im not worried as such just over it. I can't really complain though I guess AF never returns till around 12 months. So I guess if I have to put up with this for a little longer then the average person then so be it....

Im just so sick of it LOL.

Ooh.. I see in your ticker that you're tandem feeding! How's it going? Did you tandem feed any of your others? I kinda miss tandem feeding. Tallon does ask now & then LOL.. but I'm pretty sure he wouldn't know what to do.. and it would feel wierd to have him feed now hehe.

Not sure about the little bit. Maybe you can you call the midwife and ask about it? I'm sure you can as it's a post natal issue.

Do you think you may have overdone it with something (ie bunk beds) which may have stirred up the bleeding. Mine stops when I'm idle but when I vac'd the other day I had a bit of a gush after 3 days of almost nothing.

After I had Tori I bled for ages and it stopped, then it started up again and got really heavy- it turned out I had an infection and needed AB. So personally I would keep an eye on it and if it gets heavy again get it checked.

Tandem feeding is fine. Isla hardly hasany really maybe 2 feeds a day but its more like 1 feed before bed usually. Plus the odd comfort feed when she hurts herself.

hmm yes putting the beds up may have stired things up. Thanks for reminding me of that sammi.

Infection wise.. well its clean & no smell..... I will keep an eye on it though
