still bleeding 4 months after c-section - is this normal?

i have been on antibiotics for 3 weeks now, and there is no difference in my condition - the amount of blood is enough to wear a panty liner daily. U/S shows nothing out of the ordinary, and the GP and gyno aren't concerned. Has anyone else had this happen to them?

I hope it clears up soon. It must be very worrying even if GP and gyno aren't concerned. Are you taking an iron supplement? I would think that long term bleeding could deplete your iron supplies quite badly.

I hope this clears up for you soon. I bled for 3 weeks after my first c/s but I bled for about 6 weeks then a further 4 weeks on and off after my second.

Have you thought about getting a 2nd opinion to put your mind at ease

thanks for the advice - i am going back to the gyno on friday and am going to push for something more to be done. I had an internal ultrasound, which for me was a very painful procedure, and that showed nothing. I am constantly nauseous, like morning sickness, but I am definitely not pregnant. If he is unable to help me further, than I will be trying to get in to see another gyno asap. I was hoping that I was just being paranoid and perhaps not the only one in this position, but from your feedback, it looks like I am right to be concerned and not complacent.
