Hello everyone!
I know there are tons of questions about what is and what is not normal after baby, and I know that everyone's body is different, but I still want to know what you all think. I have been spotting for about 3 weeks now, after bleeding for 3-4 days, which was about 2 weeks after my first REAL postpartum period. This is just light pink/brown occasionally dark red spotting, mostly only noticeable after I use the bathroom. It is not getting better or worse, as far as I can tell. It is also mixed with cervical mucus, which is eggwhite-ish. I am fairly certain that this is not "typical" but is it something that I should be concerned about, or does this happen to some other women? By the way, I am almost 8 months postpartum, normal vaginal delivery, no complications. This is my second baby. About 9 months after my first was born, I had bleeding that started and did not stop for a month or so, before I went to the doctor and was told that I probably had an infection of some sort. They did an ultrasound and found that the lining of the uterus was twice as thick as usual, and prescribed a month on the pill, which cleared everything up. In a way, this is similar, but that was much heavier bleeding, whereas this is just a little spotting.
Sorry if this is all TMI for everyone. Hope someone has an idea. I hate going to my doctor about these things, but I will if I have to.
