Question Bleeding - what is normal? TMI

Today, is day 9 after Aidens birth, and since yesterday, the bleeding has got alot heavier. Lots of mucus like blood. Not exactly clotting, but, still, really thick. Is this normal? Should it still be this heavy. I have hours of it being light, and then, all of a sudden it will get really heavy again, disgusting.
I know it will get worse when b/f, but, in between feeds? Should it still be so bad?

Was it still heavy? Cause mine got really light for a few days. I thought the worst had happened.

First 5 days was full on.. then eased off...to completly clear by day 12. However when it returned it 'seemed' alot heavier and thicker then when DD was born....and took 10 days to stop again... occassional spotting after that.

Mine was heavy and even still passing bits of placenta (it broke up and they had to try and pull it out in pieces) for a few days...
Everyone's different, but if you're a bit uneasy about it, can you ask your midwives or dr or something? Just in case it's not a good thing.
All the best, hope it's just a wierd randomness of after-baby body.

How are you feeling in yourself?

If your at all worried or not feeling 100% you can normally give the delivery suite a call up to 6 weeks post birth, or even just give them a call to reassure yourself.
