To soon for physical work after c/s?

Hi! I was wondering if i have jumped into working too soon after my c/s. I am still on maternity leave from my job (medical receptionist) and my sis offered me a night job commercial cleaning to give me another few months with dd before i go back to my normal job. It is hard work, very physical. I have been doing it for over a month now (started when dd was 4 months) and my lower tummy on the inside where my scar is has been getting really sore. It's aching all day and if dd sits on it it hurts. I have more discharge 'down there' than normal. Could i have done damage to my scar???

Hmmm, I'm not sure, maybe. Are you able to go and see your Dr to get checked out?
That would probably be the best thing.

It can take some time to heal after a c-section and although things look good from the outside, it can be a different story on the inside.

sounds to me like you are over doing it hun. it takes a while to get back to normal. i am surprised you'd chose commercial cleaning over a few houirs back as a medical receptionist. I know you're on Mat leave but you could talk to your employers about an early return if you needed too. That would be a lot better for your healing.

A trip to the Dr could be a good idea but if your sore then your definately doing too much!!

    Hope you feel better soon x x x x

ETA - I know you want longer with your bubby what I meant was talk to your employer and see if you can do 2-3 hours one day a week just to give you a bit of $$ if that is why your doing the cleaning itms??
