What is ur AF like after having babies?

Before the birth of my 1st baby AF came evry 29-30days. I used to get tired the day b4 and sometimes my boobs would feel a bit tender on the sides. They would last about 4 days, no real pain and not that heavy.

Since having my 2 babies my AF comes every 28 days (to the day) which is great, BUT I feel like I've been hit by a truck. I get all shakey the day I get them and they are very heavy. Sorry for the TMI. They last for longer as well. I find myself very irritable and cannot concentrate. I never used to be like that.

What's everyone else's been like after having their baby or babies?

Pre-Jacob, my cycles were every 28 days on the knocker. The first couple of days would be the heaviest and I'd have quite a bit of pain (also in my back). AF would taper off and be gone by day 5.

Since Jacob has been born, things have been different. To start with, I was having 30 day cycles which would start slowly over the first day with some brownish discharge (more like what I would get on day 4 or 5 of AF previously!) and then get heavy on day 2 - 3 which was also accompanied by a lot of pain, which extended into the back and legs! I feel very bloated too! However over recent months my cycles have been between 28 - 33 days long, so I'm not sure what's going on there!!!

Pre-pregnancy my cycles were between 14 and 49 days long. They would last approx 4-5 days. I would get no symptoms as to when AF would show up, so i pretty much had to wear a pad from day 14 onwards because AF was so irregular. I was then diagnosed with PCOS 7 months before I became pregnant with DD. Since having DD my cycles have been between 27 and 32 days. So they've become a lot closer together and not so irregular. FOr the first 3-4 cycles after pregnancy i had cramps the day before AF, but i dont get that now. I do get ovulation pains now which i never got before. So it's been very different for me.

Pre Pregnancy AF would arrive every 28 days and would last 5 - 7 days, now AF comes between every 31 - 35 days and is very similar to pre pregnancy AF still the same amount of days bleeding and I wouldn`t say it`s any heavier or lighter then before.

Pre-babies I suffered more with cramping and they were heavier. Post-babies I no longer cramp and they are lighter but they start differently like Melinda's: a day or two of light brownish spotting. Was regular 29 days pre and post. Have PCO but no syndrome.

Completely back to regular timing and about the same cramps. Bleeding a little more inconsistant - sometimes really, really heavy.
