Just wondering if anyone has tried the Yasmin pill ??
Ive actually never been on the pill , but i was prescribed the Yasmin pill today by my GP because apparantly there are no side effects such as gaining weight and pimple outbreaks.. anyone ?
If I take this religiously by the instructions , is it really 99.9% effective ?? Im a bit paranoid about getting pregnant too soon again

I was on Yasmin prior to getting pregnant (I got pregnant the 2nd cycle after stopping). I found its only real side effect was the cost! It was so expensive compared to the other pills, hopefully that has changed. I normally get headaches with most pills and I didn't with Yasmin. As for weight loss I can't say if it does help as I was deliberately trying to lose weight when I changed pills. HTH
I was put on Yasmin as I was having really bad hormonal reactions to my other pill (depression, stomach pains etc etc). I was told that its has very little side effects, which I am sure is true, but I found no difference.
As astrid said it is expensive. I thinks its about $20 a month.
