    Question Constant spotting

    Okay general background info-

I have the implanon in as birth control (about 18mths now); still breastfeeding DS (19mths) overnight (2-4 feeds average overnight).

Since 29 Jan, I've been spotting or had AF visiting (light-med for 4 days) every day bar 2 days. Not much but enough to have to wear a liner or pad jic. So 24 days of spotting/bleeding.

I'm kinda over it. I know that implanon can have a side effect of irregular bleeding. So I intend to go see a GP about the constant spotting.

    My question is -
should I see my regular GP (who I see for just about everything) about the spotting (He has been a Ob/Gyn in the past) and see what he suggests we do to work out why I'm constantly spotting OR should I just see the GP who put the implanon in and get it taken out and see how things go after that? They both work out of the same surgery/GP offices. I was intending to try and get in next week so I need to make a decision in the next couple of days about who I should go and see.

I was intending to get the implanon out in April with the idea of actively TTC in July. DH not keen to have it out any earlier (or even in April for that matter - he'd rather I took it out in July ) DH is not keen on me having the implanon removed now. He reckons I should just go back on the pill if I do have the implanon out - apparently BC is my responsibility - he's not keen on condoms (never have used them - both of us have only had the one sexual partner.) I don't want to go back on the pill - don't know that I can remember to take it at the right time every day - DS still wakes up a fair bit overnight so I often am really tired the next day and slightly forgetful. I also know because I'm still BFing that limits my options of BC too.

ETA - there is a family history of reaction to progesterone BC as well - my sis and mum haven't reacted well to progesterone only BC. I've not had a problem until now with it.
