Im wondering if Im going into premature menopause at the moment too, Im off to the Dr next week to get some tests and hopefully find out more.
Im 30 now, my Mum was 32 when she went through menopause and her maternal relatives were also around that age, so its not a surprise to me, but its still scary.
When I was 28 my AMH was 12.? pmol/L, last year I had it re-tested and it was down to 3.1.
My FS thinks I have Premature Ovarian Failure, due to my test results, the size of my ovariaries on scans and my poor response to IVF treatment.
After a failed round of IVF, I was having acupunture &taking DHEA when I was lucky enough to fall pregnant.
I still look at my daughter (who is 13 months now) and know how lucky we are, every day.
Im TTC again now, but Im starting to wonder if my menopause is starting.
My periods are irregular, I have mood swings &irritabilty, vaginal dryness, loss of libido, fatigue, forgetfulness and weight gain.
My Mum went on HRT when she was 32 as her symptoms were unbearable (she tells me she thought she was going crazy at the time) until she started HRT.
Problem is she ended up with Eostrogen-driven breast cancer at 50.
So Im not quite sure what to do at the moment, Im hoping my Dr can give me some direction next week.
Have you had your FSH tested yet? Have you found a good Dr that knows more about premature menopause?
Hun. Unfortunately I cannot answer your questions, I never went to my FS appointment (which was actually this Thursday gone) as I ironically fell accidentally pregnant not long after this post. Not sure if that's still indicative of PM (sometimes PM women will fall unexpectedly pregnant) or what. So I really don't have answers, but I hope people can answer your questions.
