hi
I just have to warn you again, this could be tmi and very weird. I have have a strange sense of curiosity...
ok. First, AF is here. It's day 2, she was 2 days late. There was no spotting or light bleed, just launched right into normal mode. However....
I use a menstrual cup (which makes what I'm about to say sorta make sense), and when I emptied it this afternoon (and I'm at work btw) coz it was overful (unusual already), I noticed a clot. Ok, not just a clot - a HUGE clot. There wasn't af in the cup, just the clot. Thats how big it was.
This is where my curiosity comes in (so if you're eating- swallow now!)... I just had to inspect it! The clot fitted into my palm. Big.
Now I've had clots before, but this one is big! And, I don't know if anyone's ever done this, I touched it. It felt like raw liver. I could pick it up.
I'm freaked out. Should I call the doctor and make an appt? I'm worried as to if this was a clot or something else. Anything like this happened to anyone else? I'm talking about the clot, not the curiosity that went with mine....
This has happened to me twice...once when I was having a m/c and once when I had an infection in my uterus. If you are worried then I would see a doctor. Have you had more smaller clots than usual too?
Are you on any b/c? Is it possible that you are having a m/c at all? I mean, could be nothing, just your body doing a nice big cleanse, like when you come off the pill or something... I don't know, if it's unusual for you I would probably see a doc...and if possible, wrap up the big clot in glad wrap or something (you sound like me, more curious than squeamish about this sort of thing) and take that in with you, because they may be able to test it if something is amiss and see what is up.
I'd have done that, but I'm at work, was in the work toilet and it'd be a bit awkward getting it to a specimen jar! Not on birth control, not 100% sure if could be a m/cor not, however, it was my first thought. So, to document it actually happened, I had my phone with me and took a photo.
