I have seen this years ago, thankyou so much for posting it here, it makes me think of my mum.
Hi everyone
My daughter's school held a 'Celebration of Life' liturgy today for a much loved teacher who passed away from cancer on the weekend.
On the back of the Mass booklet was this peom , written by an unknown author.
I thought i'd share it with those who are interested.
You can shed tears that she has gone,
Or you can smile that she has lived.
You can close your eyes and pray that she will come back,
Or you can open your eyes and see all that she has left.
Your heart can be empty because you can't see her,
Or your heart can be full of the love you shared.
You can turn your back on tomorrow and live for yesterday,
Or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday.
You can remember her and only that she has gone,
Or you can cherish her memory and let it live on.
You can cry and close your mind, be empty
And turn your back,
Or you can do what she'd want, smile,
Open your eyes, love and go on.

it makes me think of my mum too, thanks jaz. i miss her so much everyday
I'm so sorry that you've both lost your MumsI don't imagine the pain could ever be erased.
The teacher that passed away has a 12 year old daughter. I cry every time I think of her growing up without her Mum.
That's tragic J, that poor little girl, just when she needs her mum the most.
thanks jaz for that poem, i just changed the "her" to "him" and cried but its only been 9 months, i feel for her daughter, its such a cruel world for kids to grow up with out either parent.
Chrissy - my heart goes out to you. You've obviously had to deal with alot of pain in your life.![]()
Beautiful - made me think of my precious little Nikita
Thank you so much for sharing that
