Angry Can someone please help me sort this out in my head. Miscarriage

Hello. I found out I was preg last Tuesday and tested positive on HPT's 3 days in a row. I went to the doctor Friday and she sent me for bloods etc and told me if the HPT's were all POS that i was definitely preggers. On Saturday I started having cramps in my stomach, started off minor but increased to worse than period pain, then I began to spot. I went to emergency where then ran bloods and did an internal exam and said that my cervix was high and closed, the ultrasound showed a tiny sac and they said it was fine and just early days. My bloods then came back with a hcg of 6 which they said was either really early or bad news. THey also said my uterine lining was very thick??? They sent me home and the follwing morning i woke up in a pool of blood with thick clots (sorry tmi) - obviously this was a miscarriage - how could they have missed this not 8 hours before??

Hun the same thing happened with my second.
I went and had a scan, they saw a perfect little sack, I'd had bleeding and they couldn't see where it was coming from.
They told me not to worry as bleeding can happen in pregnancy, I ended up m/c the next day.
I don't think it's that they miss it but that because it's so tiny so early on it's prob hard to see what is happening.
The lining of your uterus thickens when you are pregnant and i'd say that's why you had so many clots.
I'm really sorry for your loss hun lot's of hugs xo

Thanks so much for your reply. This was my first time pregnant - we've waited 3 years for a baby to buy a house etc and it is just so disappointing. Its so nice to have a no nonsense answer to my question from someone who understands and doesnt just think it's nothing.

Hun my 2 m/c were the hardest things i've ever been through, wish I could give you a big hug right now.
Nothing I can say will make it easier, just be kind to yourself and don't feel like you have to be brave, it's ok to cry!

Something similar happened to me too. I also went to the hospital bleeding semi-heavily, and slightly crampy. They did an internal exam and said the same thing, cervix was high and closed. They took bloods and my HCG was still around the 3000 mark so sent me home saying all was ok and to have a repeat BT in 2 days time to see if the level was dropping.

That night I awoke to excruciating cramps, and lost the baby that night alone in my bathroom. I too wondered why they sent me home to mc all alone, but I guess they just couldn't tell what was going on, being only 8wks along. It was also my first pregnancy.

I'm so sorry this has happened to you, and I don't know what else to say except to take the time you need to grieve your loss. Don't let anyone tell you it's 'nothing', and be gentle with yourself.

Hey, it sounds a LOT like my miscarriage hun. I had positive HPTs and then started spotting and bleeding, lots of pain but when I went to ED my cervix was high and closed. I went home but then went back to ED 6 hours later due to the pain and my cervix had opened in that time and I was miscarrying. I don't think they missed anything hun, it can just take a while to happen

I'm so sorry for your loss
