Unhappy 5 ectopics no tubes - 1 natural pregancy

3 weeks ago i did a pregancy test - POSITIVE... that cannot be right , but i was. Oh the joy of thinking i may be pregnant. but alas it was short lived....Well i am home recovering. i have just had my right tube removed after my 5th ectopic pregnancy (i was 9 weeks). And this right tube had been clipped less than 3 years ago. I was not supposed to fall pregnant. it took a while for me to catch on, as i thought i felt pregannt - but cant be!!!

6 years ago my left tube was removed due to a 12 week ectopic. major emergency surgery. I have also had 2 ectopics removed via the cancer drug methotrexate. this treatment doesnt involve surgery but really knocks you around.

So i am very gratefull that amongst this i have the most beautiful 5 year old girl - natural pregnancy..

BUT my doctor has advised with no tubes, he will not gurantee i wont have another ectpic??? He either says to get my Hubby the snip or go on the pill?? Does anyone know any more about this. My doctor is a specialist and is very hard to deal with. i dont have any other options... I would love some answers please. And yet i feel so down that again i have lost a pregnancy...

awwww im so sorry for you, you could still have a baby via IVF with no tubes, although ectopic can happen in the stump of the tube it is rare. Please consider your options before deciding to get the snip. Perhaps see a fertility specialist before making any decisions.

So sorry for what you've been through. Personally I wouldn't go to a doctor who made me feel like he didn't have the time to explain things for me.
I have no advice otherwise, but hope you can have an IVF bub soon.

I'm so sorry for your loss, I cant imagine having to go through 5 ectopics. I've had one and that was horrible enough, never want to go down that path again so fingers crossed. Are you considering IVF?

Im so sorry for your loss
Is it possible to get a refferal or a new specialist, having to grieve and deal with a difficult health care proessional is not fair.
    take care
