I don't know a great deal, but I do know that Down's Syndrome is a trisomy of the 21st chromosome, and is basically the only trisomy that is compatible with life. Trisomies of other chromosomes result in miscarriage - it's impossible for the pregnancy to go to term and impossible for the child to live. I also know that they happen randomly, and just because it has happened once doesn't mean it will happen again.

I'm so sorry that you have experienced another loss. Perhaps it would be worthwhile asking your doctor to do further testing to see if this was a random accident or whether there's something more sinister causing your losses.
