Hi Kate,
I have been in your exact situation.
I now have a friends beautiful 13 yr old girl. My girl has cerabral palsy and an intelectual disability.
I dont regret my disicion to take her on for a minute.
Go for it, give that beautiful child what ever you can give it.

It can be difficult at times but it is well worth it. There is support out there, although sometimes you have to look hard for it.
