after writing that i read that private adoption is illegal. i suppose it is all the initial shock of everything. I have been thinking a lot and have spent hours talking to my partner and all morning to my amazing mother and I really think that adoption is the right thing for me.
I would feel so much better knowing that I could give a happy couple that desperately wants a child that gift. I feel like its my calling (might sound silly, but I am at peace with that) However I am worried about getting through the next 2 or 3 months.
the crazy thing about this all is, i am apparently about 30 weeks pregnant and I only have the tiniest of tiny little bumps, its almost like i have eaten to much. I didnt feel any movement until yesterday and even then I dont know if it is just my stomach turning because I doesn't feel like anything. Maybe its all denial, i dont know, but i sure as hell dont feel like I am going to have a baby pretty soon. I am going to the doctor again today, getting all the proper blood tests and hopefully a fast tracked scan so I dont have to wait until tomorrow. I am terrified about the scan, i dont want to know anything about it.
Thank you all for caring so much. Reading this blog has made things make more sense.
you poor poor darling .. i can't begin to imagine what your going through ..
My cousin didn't find out she was pregnant until like you only had a matter of weeks to go - it was the shortest pregnancy in history in our family .. lol ..
I am glad your mum has been there to talk to you and also your partner .. I wished I could give you a big big hug .. Iam sure there would be plenty of people who would want to adopt your beautiful baby - but it's not as easy as saying "I'd like you to adopt my baby" .. it's a crazy crazy world we live in ...
I hope the scan and everything goes well for you, and try not to stress to much over it .. who know's when you see your little bubba you might have a different train of thought ..
As mentioned before, private adoption is illegal in Australia. On BellyBelly we do not condone or encourage private adoption due to the high risk associated with it.
I think hanna realises that, after all she did say that after doing some reading she found out it was "illegal" ..
Hanna - I would read some other threads in here sweetie and join them and talk to other people .. you need support atm and this sure is the place to get it !
The purple post was simply a reminder to everyone participating in this forum, or who wishes to participate from now on, that seeking private adoption is illegal in Australia. As you will see, some of Hanna's original post was edited to ensure that it complied with the law, as well as the guidelines of this forum.
