I have heard that people are able to adopt as expats.

I was just wondering how this all works? My husband and I are wanting to move overseas within the next 3 years (USA, Canada, or Hong Kong) for his career. We decided to put this on hold though while we go through the adoption process. Is it possible to go through the process while living overseas?

What if for example we lived in Hong Kong and adopted from China?

or we lived in the USA/Canada and adopted from China or Taiwan?

Does anyone know how this process would work?

It would be wonderful if we could live in one of these countries for work and still be able to adopt.
