I would look at an older child - anything from 2 years on I guess. Part of it is that maybe they would have less success with finding an adoptive family (although does anyone know if this is true?) and part of it is that with my DS I have been happier since that first year was over. I would only adopt a child younger than my DS.

The first phone call we recieved they asked us if we were interested in caring for a three week old boy and now we are in the process of adopting him. His half sister is now going to be in our care permanently and we hope to adopt her after she's been in our care for over two years (unless they change the laws again).. we also do respite care, have had a few over two years old that sadly have been damaged and after experiencing that I am so so grateful we have the rare opportunity to have babies from such a young age.

I think its awesome that people are so willing to take on 2-3year olds, bless you...

Hmmm...if I were unable to get pregnant (lol, if, ) I would want to adopt a baby, as young as possible, so I could experience everythig with him/her. If I already had 1 or more children, I wouldn't mind adopting an older child at all

I wouldn't care what age they were, if they need a home - I've got one and open arms for all ages.
