Anyone else studying/studied education at uni?

I am half way through my first year of my B of Ed Primary. I'm studying externally through Curtin Uni. I am really enjoying it, although studying over christmas and the first tri of pregnancy (#2) was not so much fun. I am also amazed at the difference in workload between units, the one I am studying at the moment (assessment for learning) is a nightmare.
The only real downsides are i only get about 1-2 weeks between study periods and we study throughout the year at the moment I am taking 2 units each period and there are 4 periods a year so its a bit full on at times!

I've just been accepted to do a Post Grad Dip Ed (Secondary, Visual Arts) next year... full time, on campus, for 1.5 years. Yay! can't wait

Another one studying, I'm studying with Curtin Uni also I applied through OUA for B. Early Childhood Education (Birth to five years).

Doing this part time from home with two kids and about to start working some nights soon, so will be very interesting. Had to withdraw from a couple units when we moved so doing two units over the Christmas period, arrggghhhh. But it's worth it to get it done in time for DS2 starting school.

I completed my B.Ed in middle school at Flinders University way back in 2006 and am currently doing some relief work. Mind you, I still feel like a new grad as I worked for a year and then had over 3 years off with my 2 little ones.

I'm thinking of going for my masters in special ed next year, so I'll keep it in mind that you've done yours if I get stuck lol!

Sunny09, the school we are hopefully sending my 2 too uses Reggio Emilio. TBH, I'd never heard of it, but it sounds good.

The Reggio "way" is fantastic.... creates kids who are really engaged in their learning... instead of disengaging because they are treated like they don't know anything. Love it.

I'm sure I'll be around Trill Looking into residential accommodation now! Can't wait to get that "room of my own" I'm not even going to attempt distance study while living in a shed with 6 kids (ours and their cousins) running around! Looks like there will be at least 50 days of placement which I'll do down here so the time spent away shouldn't be too bad. Looking forward to catching up
