A few weeks in......how is everyone finding it?

Im behind already (sigh) especially because the Uni has taken forever to grant me my credits.

Anyone else really hate the group work? Maybe its just because I find it difficult being external but sheesh, I really wish I could just work alone.

I do but I don't but I do... lol I've had one lot of group work where everyone was fantastic and everyone put in their fair share of effort... what I HATE about group work is having 'those' people in your group who think they can ride on everyone elses hard work and still claim the same credit for the final outcome. It annoys me to no end.

My assessments feel like they're one on top of the other, one due on the 31st March, 1st April, 14th April... pretty much one every 2-3 weeks... plus teaching placements.

I've done no group work yet, but I'm getting really annoyed by some of the younger people on the course. Talking at the back of lectures I expected, but sitting with their backs to the tutor in a tutorial (whilst she is speaking to us all) and constantly facebooking on their phones! So rude!! In one of my pracs there is a girl who sits at every opportunity, even when everyone else is having a standing conversation and trying out physicals tasks, she just sits there looking bored.

Maybe I am just a grumpy old woman but if they don't want to listen and learn I don't understand why they are there.

I have a mid semester exam on A&P in an hour or so and I don't think I can cram anymore stuff in my brain I am hoping the exam isn't as scarey as I think it will be. There is just so much to know!!!

Also have an assignment due on monday so looks like I'll be stuck in my study all weekend. On a good note though I have gotten my 2 youngest kids into the daycare at uni one day a week (not my preferred day mind you), so thats one day where I will be able to do some study during the day and not after the kids are in bed .

I have my first placement coming up at the end of May and am trying to find out all I can about the hospital and hoping they are nice . And I don't have to be away from home for the week which is a plus.

How is everyone else going? I am feeling a bit more settled with the school work now but my house is out of control

Essay 1 is finished I just need to submit!! Been finished since tuesday just need to get game to sumbit its due fri.

Things have settled for me - had two assignments due on Friday just gone and one two weeks before that. Now I don't have any due till the start of May, the end of May and then the start of June and one online quiz Two of those assignments I have nearly finished so I can't complain at all atm.

I'm also doing a double degree - arts/education (secondary).

I received my first essay results for this semester on Tuesday and I got 90%, so I'm pretty thrilled.

I really hope there are no group assignments for my degree. I find group discussions in tutorials hard enough because half the group sit on facebook and add nothing to the discussion. I feel like bopping them on the head and saying 'pay attention!'. Have started studying for the exam on Tuesday but not getting very far. I intend to cram on Monday as I have pretty much no classes, then hopefully things will stick long enough to pass the exam
