I think it's a great idea
I returned to work and study when Natalie was 13mo. It was hard being away from her but she coped so wonderfully.
For me, the ideal is to spend the first years with your kid/s, but that just hasn't been possible for me and I probably wouldn't have coped with that lifestyle in hindsight anyway. I personally don't think a 1yo is too young for CC, but that is totally personal choice and what you are comfortable with.
I was a dental nurse for a year out of school and I loved it! I think it would be an enjoyable course. GL with whatever you decide.
