I'm studying with Thomson Education at the moment. I like it and I got all my stuff in less than a week after i joined up. The courses arn't that expensive either.
You can also study with OTEN, which is TAFE via correspondence.
Hi all
Am considering doing something via correspondence - has anyone had any experience with Thomson Education Direct?
Are there any other ways I could go about this?
Thanks!

I've just started studying with them too and found them easy to deal with.
There are quite a few off campus educators now, but it depends what you want to study as to what they offer.
I've done a few things through OTEN. Its pretty good, but the only problem was that alot of my course notes were on the website and I get distrcted easily so downloading my notes always took much longer than it needed to! You can opt to get them to mail you the notes, but I asked for the online version. Anyhow, it was great to be able to do my work in my own time and not have to take time off work to attend classes and exams.
Ash lots of unis have off campus courses too hun -depends what you want to do!
Ive been meaning to look into stuff for next year but am procrastinating as usual!
hi ashlee i have ben considering studying through Thompson Direct too, DH's cousin has been studying with them for a few years now and has enjoyed it.
What are you thinking of studying?
I've completed a course with Thomson, and they screwed up my payments and then screwed up my final assignment - telling me I hadn't handed it in when I clearly had. Turns out it was a glitch in their system. Bah, whatever....
But other than that, they weren't too bad. I figure all companies have their screw-ups, why not TED too?
