Bum Genious Trouble

My bum genious nappies keep coming open while my son plays.

Does anyone have any advice?

they are my fave ones but thought can anyone recomend another pocket I didn't like the pea pod or cheeky butts both have major leakage.

i'm having twins and will need to stock up... I like the bum genious and happy heiney the best, but can't work out why the velceo all of a suddern comes loose.

please help if you can

Hi Kristy!

A couple of things that come to mind that may help...

Is there much fluff in the velcro grip tabs? It will hinder their stickiness if there is.
Is there much pilling on the loop tabs? Same thing will occur as fluff bunged grip tabs. Very carefully trim off the pilling.
How long have you had them for? They do have a warranty so perhaps email the seller to discuss JIC there is faulty velcro.

Good luck I have 4 BumG's the oldest about a year old now and the velcro still grips nice and strong but I do have to clean it up from time to time.

I can't offer any help with the BG, except to agree with what Raven said about making sure the velcros are clean.

Otherwise, if you're looking for new pockets I've just bought a heap of the green kids which I couldn't recommend highly enough. I've got a couple of the happy heineys, which seem to fit DD really well, but use the green kids inserts in them.

Maybe put a cover over them? Could just be your DS has learnt how to open the velcro - mine does this and I need to buy snaps only or put a cover on.

on the info that came with my BG's from nurture nappies, it suggests that if velcro loses its stick to wash the nappy and dry in dryer on medium heat. HTH!

DS can undo the velcro on mine - I just put shorts on over them.

I love my BG nappies too but I loathe velcro! hateful stuff! I heard that they are going to switch to clips. Do what Malakili said and put shorts over them.... or pilchers.
