Thanks everyone for the advice. I've definitely got some homework to do. I think I've found what I'll spend some of my $1000 from Mr Rudd on!

Mel, thanks for the offer hun, but with 2 to try to cloth-bum, I think I'll just bite the bullet and buy a couple of starter packs ...

I have a list beside me of a heap of OSFA AIO nappies, I think there might be a couple of OSFA that I have to get sized PUL's (like the baby beehinds) but I can fit both my little men into mediums!! Well in sposies, Veygas is only one size behind Khaemon now anyway!!

Believe it or not, I am REALLY EXCITED about this, and DP is totally behind me with it!!

(hopefully these nappies will come in handy again too IYKWIM!! ) LOL!!

I know DP might freak at initial outlay (might start out P/T cloth and build up a collection!) but I agree now that in the long run, it'll be worth it (especially as last shop, BOTH boys needed nappies!! ) I do believe it will help cut down our grocery bill!!

Mainly looking at BBH, bumgenius, happy heinys, cushie tushies and mummy's touch. Also wouldn't mind trying itti bittis for veygas ...

there's more on my list (I've had about 12 browser tabs open at once today, reading and comparing etc) but most of the above ones I can get trial packs for, reasonably priced, that I can try out on both of them!!

ETA: Up until recently, I had THREE still in them (well, DD was in night time pull ups, but she wanted to wear undies to bed, so that fixed that!! LOL) DS1 was still in night times til Khaemon was almost 1, so that was nearly a year of 3 lots of nappies then too!

Cool I have baby beehinds, bum genius, happy heiny and itti bittis.

haven't any of the mothers touch ones - and I got rid of the cushie tushies that I did have because they didnt' suit DS.

    Hi Mountain Mummy,

I recently converted to MCN (probably about 1 month). Its sooo addictive!!

As the ladies have already said, probably safer to buy a few to try out as babies are all different.

    Personally, I loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeee my Bumgeniuses.

They are a great fit for my DD (She is 6 mths, 7.1kg and has chubby legs) and I use them overnight as well.

Don't quite like the All in ones from BBH because they leak on DD but their bamboo ones are not too bad at all.

I found the velcro on the happy heiny too bulky cause DD has a small waist. Itti bittis are so cute and they have a starter pack for $49.95 but for me they only last approx 2 hrs on DD.

Best of luck and have fun if you decide to convert.

P.S Man you're thread is making my hands itchy again .... feel like buying more eek!

    Hi Phoenixml,

Thanks for sharing your experiences! My DS3 also has chubby legs, and I would be guessing not too far behind your DD weight wise (even though he is younger!)

DS2 is 2.5 and has skinny legs and a small waist which is why I'm looking at a few different brands. As I said, I'm hoping to be able to have a bunch of nappies that I can use on both, but if a couple suit one more than the other, that's no biggie! I'm sure DS3 will grow up to be just like DS1 and DS2 (long skinny legs and small waist) DD is still chubby, even though she is in between DS1 and DS2!

I can't wait to start my collection!! LOL!
