Trillian - that could totally be it. I am allergic to dust mites. Although the rug is only about 7-8 months old - no idea how quickly the little buggers can get in there, but it's certainly worth investigating. I recall some idea using teabags and your vacuum cleaner to kill dust mites (from Shannon Lush I think). To Google I go.... thanks
