CBG - I did huh, clearly bagging it did the trick
I've got so many new followers and barely a minute to look at other pics much less comment. Was itching to get out & take some pics at about 7pm tonight, the light was beooootiful! But such a bad time of night (maybe I need to switch to moon shots ). So I finally made it out at 8.30 pm, and "preeeeetty light all gawn" (as my 2yo would say). But anyway, had my first play with garden shots using the hipstamatic - was a bit of fun.

Seeing some AWESOME pics going up today, working my way through 'em now

EDIT: don't use tags either, would take too long lol

Am trying to think of a photo to do for tomorrow, DO might be going up to his uncles to attempt to save some of the stuff in our van before expected flooding next week.. so i MIGHT have some time on my hands to fiddle.
Might find something that can tie in with Lulu's memorial or maybe something to do with the river again, i have pics from a couple of months ago when it was up HIGH i'd never seen it like that and def never thought it would flood

Thanks Barney, I dedicate the flower to your Charlie on her birthday. May she continue to bloom as beautiful as a flower.

ZF, I can't make the memorial tomorrow. I'm going to a birthday party (tomorrow's theme). If they are releasing balloons, that would make a great shot.

I didn't manage to upload one yesterday - I got my tripod out and took a load of the moon, but I got the shutter speed all wrong, so they looked awful when I downloaded them, and by that point it was after 11 and I needed to go to bed! I will probably upload a filler from all my photos I got back the other day. It was a great learning experience though, and I can't wait to give it another try (tonight?!).

I just had a load of new email notifications from 365, so went and checked, and 'in the drink' is on the new faces page

Hope i made sense in my sleepy blur. Going back to bed to dream about the rule of thirds and macro lenses now DD is back asleep....

You're clever. I really wouldn't know where to start with shutter speeds on my camera, and with an 12 month old I don't really know if I have the time right now to figure it all out!
Fingers crossed I might pick up something in the next 362 days XD

I think you should still pop up your picture of the moon, it was a learning experience afterall and it probably looks fab anyway! You're always your worst critic

ETA, i can see myself becoming super sleep deprived from this challenge! Swoop, you inspired me to get into the inner most workings of my camera... kinda ><; I like what I got. (and I like that I got it FAST!)

Swoop, I used the following settings on the 20th when it was a full moon with a 250mm lens:
    Exposure: 0.0013 sec (1/800)
    Aperture: f/10.0
    ISO Speed: 1600

Try Picnik for editing, I would crop and adjust the exposure (slightly).

Helle, I'm touched that I inspired you to have a fiddle with your settings! I don't know what I'm doing most of the time, I just play with stuff and see what happens I can't wait to see the results of your exploration!

I may upload one of the moon pictures, but they really were very bad. Thanks for the exif info CBG - looking at that it was definitely the exposure that was my problem, I was just thinking long shutter speed coz it's dark instead of thinking about how bright the moon is d'oh!

We're trying to sort out loads of stuff at home today so I've been trying to keep my mind off photographs to get this (filing etc blah) done, I only managed to sneak on here now coz I'm giving DD milk - yay to boobie rests!!
