Ah copy Delph....though I couldn't do that either without my big lens on.
I'm doing mine via iPhone 4 for the whole thing and using Instagram for modifications - I don't think it's cheating per say, just adding cool effects ;)

Hey girls.
Just wondering, for those Picnik whizz's out there, is there a way that you can remove something out of the back ground of a pic? I have an awesome pic but there is someone standing in the background...
Any ideas?
TIA
Hmm, no idea! It would be handy though. I just get rid of stuff by trying to put the focus where I want it. There's a series of focal effects - focal blur, soften, b&w etc. Maybe that would make it less noticeable? Or cropping and using vignette? May not work depending what you shot is of and where the person is I guess.
I had a thought this morning. My project is titled "Annabelle 2012" - it's basically a photo a day of my daughter. But I go back to work in March, how am I supppsed to take a good original photo of her when I'll be gone between 8 & 5:30? Sad face.
I just had a quick search and it looks like the only way to remove and object would be to use the cloning tool and that's only available with a premium membership. I could be wrong of course, but thats the only way I could find to do it. Using selective colouring can often help take the focus away from things/people in the background, if you like that effect?
Aww Kaytee, that will make it a bit harder but I'm sure you'll still manage to get great shots of your dd. You'll just have to make it your mission to get really good at low light photography for the Winter months :)
gees, I just had a read of the last few posts of the "the resurrection of the great hate debate" thread on there....made me almost want to stop participating. What a bunch of snobs. Bit sad about it really :(
The great hate debate? Sounds wonderful! I haven't bothered with the forum or discussions, I'm really just there for myself - try and improve my own skills, and get ideas from all of your great piccies :) I haven't really looked at anyone's other than people I follow, so I'm really not fussed by what anyone else on there is saying. But the title of that thread has got me interested lol.
And Kim, I agree with munchkin mumma, your photos are great!!
Also MM, I forgot about winter getting dark so early. As if it's not bad enough that I have to leave DD at all, now I've gotta throw in this project. I'll probably spend the work day wondering what I can do for the day's photo lol.
ETA: Just saw the thread, what is up with them?? They're gonna hate all my photos I reckon, mwahahaa :)
Thanks girls. Think I've got these preg hormones on high and sensitive ATM lol.
MM yep I noticed the tongue in cheek and joking comments and the fact that they weren't bullying.....they were just plain nasty. I don't see anywhere in the rules that says everyone's photos need to suit their tastes and quality.
I don't bother reading their forums or discussions either. I am a couple days behind in photos at the moment. Not in the right head space.
 Kim. You're not the only emotional one. I was driving into town to go shopping, and it's a bit of a drive so I was thinking about some of the comments on there. I've already had a cry this morning about a bad mummy moment, so it didn't take much for this to make me emotional! I was just thinking, who are they to say what makes a good photo? Does it matter if someone has cropped their image and added a frame? I suddenly hated the thought that some of these people might be looking at my shots and going "They're all baby shots, I hate that. This one's got a frame, really hate that. Oh look, this one's had the colour boosted in Picnik, hate that. This person obviously sucks!"
But then I thought stuff 'em. I'm not doing this for other pretentious snobs to get some kind of artsy fartsy fulfilment from. I'm doing it to document DD's first year, and this challenges me to think of different shots to take of her, rather than the same thing all the time. So I kind of realised, it doesn't matter what they think at all. I'm not trying to be an artist with this, and if I was I'd never please everyone anyway. As long as I'm enjoying what I'm doing, that's all that matter :)
Hi all.
Have been soo busy, and I have a pile of photos to put up and I popped in to have a look at the thread your referring to. What a pack of tossers. Surely the sites big enough that if they don't like something- dont look!
grr
double post
screw them.
basically all of my pics are just taken with my phone, and are things that make me think of things ... or things which remind me or something else ... or things that I think look nice ... or things that caught my eye ...
I'm not a great photographer, but the project isn't about being a great photographer. it's about whatever you want it to be about - for me, it's opening up my eyes a bit more, and looking around, and sharing some of what I come across from day to day.
it sure as **** isn't about bagging other people for liking - or doing - things with their photos, or using subject matter that doesn't appeal to me, or which I reckon is over done.
that's just pretentious, self centred, and ****house, to be blunt.
so yeah, screw 'em.
Love it peanutter, you're totally right :)

Well said PN.
Thanks girls. Not really much into other forums....and now I remember why. :D
Hey Lisa did you look at the NYPI?
Hey guys :)
Thought I'd join in here as I'm going to attempt to get through the 366 this year. I did initially start as a January photo a day but I thought I'd just keep on with it and see if I can keep it up. I'm mypinkwagon if anyone wants to add me and I'll add you back :)
Had a quick nosy for that discussion and while I didn't read all of it, I think it's pretty standard among photo forums. Things can get pretty heated and colourful to say the least! There is always going to be a critic because you can't please everyone so just let it run off your back.
Hi all!!
How are you all going?
I am just wondering, I wanted to put some of my photos into the Themes and competitions and I have no idea how to. I have had a quick search and look around and can't seem to find out what I need to do to enter them. Does anyone know how to do it?
TIA
I dunno how to do it, but I'm proud to say I've kept up :) I'm still going and couldn't be happier with how some of these are turning out

I don't know either ...
But I have done a photo a day so far, all year!!
I am getting hard pressed to find stuff to take pics off. I don't get out of the house much.
I was like that at times. Especially in winter. I tried to get spider webs, flowers, some cool leaves, etc. Even grass with water droplets on it after it rained (or morning dew). If you're crafty take a picture of your current project or the finish product. :dunno:
Sorry just a couple ideas from what I did. Good luck.
xox
I'm going fairly well too with getting my photos. I have cheated once and used an old photo one day when I didn't take any pics! But other than that I am getting to know my camera better and I'm getting a bit creative when I get the chance to take my time and try new things!
Pets, kids, yourself, something you've cooked/are eating, your garden, your home, your favourite things (shoes, perfume, foods, books...), interesting things outdoors (insects, flowers, trees, birds...), clouds/weather (rain, sunshine, puddles, shadows...)
HTH :)
If you want to put your photo in a thread: Have a look at the right hand side of the photo you want to post and scroll down a bit, there will be a little box with a code in it and says "share" above it. Copy and paste that code into the reply box of the thread. Hope that makes sense and is what you were asking :) Some of the themes just have word that you add as a tag when you upload your photo.
I'm really enjoying seeing everyones pics and hope you're all having fun with it :)
It's been so long since I've uploaded a photo! I've taken one every day, but our internet got slowed to dial up speed and I haven't been able to upload them yet. I'm gonna spam you all when I'm finally able to
Astrolady, I get what you mean about running out of ideas. My project is just of DD, so I've had to try and be creative with her and not just take the same thing every day. Which is hard when I'm so busy!

Hi All
I have just started this project and so far am excited! But I am no computer whiz so haven't been doing any editing of my photos, what you see is what you get! Any recommendations for easy to use photo editing programs?
Also am trying to put the 365 project in my signature but I can only seem to be able to copy and paste the individual link for each individual photo and of course that is too big for my signature:doh:. So what am I doing wrong?? Told you I was no computer whiz!;)
*ANG* - Are you a Mac or PC user? Do you shoot RAW or .jpg? Are you looking for free or purchased product if the right fit?
Hi Ang, I am doing the 365project too. I have just looked at your picceis and followed you!
I am a total novice when it comes to photography too and the editing tool I use is called picmonkey I have tried using photo shop, and you can do some great things with it, but picmonkey is really basic, simple and easy to use.
Dustmite I am a MAC user and I shoot in JPEG -Am pretty computer illiterate though!
Hey 3LM - Thanks for the follow! I have used picmonkey once when in a rush, I might try and give it another go...it's all about finding the time to do it isn't it?
*ANG*: Technically speaking you shouldn't really do much editing with JPG's. Each edit damages the file. If you really want editing power, full creativity and the ability to edit freely, you want to work with RAW images and a program like Lightroom or Aperture.
But outside of that, you might also look to see if Google's Picasa has the tools you are looking for. But I will encourage you to work towards camera RAW and a good program like Lightroom or Aperture.
Ahem - anyone around in here... There is 2013 thread here
