I got a Canon 1000d and am very much looking forward to really test driving it tomorrow at lunchtime. I'm lucky to work at a very picturess place with great views so I'm looking forward to seeing what I can do with this new baby.

Ohh thats what we have!! - it takes AWESOME pics, you're going to love it! - We've had ours for about 6 months and im STILL getting used to the manual settings -i revert to "lazy" auto when i get frustrated with the manual stuff (which doesn't take long!! )
