the photo shoot got cancelled - on the morning of that day - cos the photographer had a migraine.

dh was meant to rebook it - but he hasn't said anything and i am too annoyed to ask him - he muttered some things about emails from photographer about costs - when we had been led to believe it was being bartered for (his skills for her skills). So it's all up in the air.

i am cross with dh, he keeps making promises that don't come true. So i've tried to find a photographer myself, she has said she will do it but hasn't given me a date.

that's where we are up to.

i wish i had some photos to show you all!

    One HUGE don't from me.

Do not use clothes with any sort of slogan or writing on. No matter how cute the phrase is.

    Why not?

See DS's official Christmas pic (photographer came to Mum and Baby group otherwise I wouldn't have had that) from last year. Lesson learnt.

UPDATE: we had a photo shoot on November 24th (Sunday) so bilby was one week past her 2nd birthday.

she wore a white tshirt and blue jeans and her amber teething necklace.

she ran around alot, very hard for the photographer.

i don't have the photos yet, otherwise i'd put them on Facebook so you could see.

i forgot to put, this shoot was one i organised and paid for, dh made no effort to re-organise the first photographer.

we had the shoot in the botanic gardens, so at least had greenery that was green (we've been classified as "in drought" for 12 years here, so most places are brown).

i brought a ball and thought, action shots of her playing would be good. but she was too fast for photographer.

if i did it again, i would have brought books for her to pour over, she will sit happily for a long time, leafing thru the pages. She loves sorting things too. so that would have kept her still for the photographer. live and learn hey?

the photographer told me on the day, two year olds are the hardest to photograph, they are busy off exploring everything. immobile bubs are easier, cos at least they stay on their rug, not having to be chased. i didn't realise all this before.

i hope to have the photos to share soon, i'm trying not to be impatient, was promised them three weeks ago, but the photographer has had sick kids to deal with.
