    Apraxia

    Hi all

A very good friend of mine's Son has just been diagnosed with Apraxia.

I don't know much about it, so wondered if anyone knows, or has dealt with this?

There is so much out there to read on the subject, and I just want to offer my friend some support and understanding.

    TIA

My nephew was diagnosed with this (Apraxia/Verbal Dyspraxia) early last year, basically it means that the muscles that help them to speak are underdeveloped and they take a while to learn to talk properly.
His was present from birth and with speech therapy is pretty much talking like a normal 4 year old now.
