    campodactyly (sp)

    Hey all,

i was just wondering if anyone has experienced a campodactyl (Crooked finger) in there children at birth.

we have found that this is the problem with our 5mth old Noah. He has just had a splint made for his little finger and will have to wear it for up to 6mths to see if it will straighen. Other than that we well be looking at surgery in the future.

just wondering if anyone has goine hru this or simular...

Nola, can I ask how crooked it is? Paige's index finger on her right hand is a little crooked, and has been since birth, but we thought it was related to her having Brachydactyly (shortened fingers - only two bones) as sometimes this can cause the bones in the fingers to skew a little. We haven't had to have a splint for it or anything.

That's a lot more than what Paige's is, hers wouldn't be that far. I hope the splinting works for him though.
