I am a bit new to this whole Carers Payment and Carers Allowance business

I get both payment and allowance for my daughter due to her SN's but someone told me I am also entitled to a bit of home care. As in someone to help me a bit around the house with housework or something similar?

I really need some help with this. I spend 3 days a week at specialist appointments or early intervention 80 kms away and meanwhile my house is falling apart. I am on the go from 5am to after 10pm every day with my DD and the house stuff just isn't a priority.

Other than my payments, can someone tell me what else I am entitled to? A friend at Special Ed also mentioned respite. I'm not ready for that yet but what exactly am I entitled to?
