Yes, I thought of Angelman's as well. It is a genetic chromosomal disorder (I think it's a deletion on chromosome 15?). Usually associated with a global delay and a happy, friendly disposition (such as wanting to kiss stranger's!!). Poor verbal skills, but better comprehension.

However, AS is also associated with seizure's, microcephaly (small head) and ataxia (jerky gait and movement) in most cases. Does your lovely DD show any of these symptoms? AS is diagnosed with a combination of genetic testing and clinical presentation.

So hard when you know there is a problem but can't put your finger on it. I'm sorry, I don't know how to get your DD to stop picking, must drive you (and her?) nuts!
