Thankyou for sharing, I have read this before and it is lovely.

It is funny I have read this today actually. I had two jehovahs witnesses knock on my door today and DD1 crawled over and they asked what was wrong with her, I proceeded to explain both her and DD2's conditions and they handed me a booklet, no problem, then one of them says 'some people believe that special children are given to special mothers, I think that is just their way of taking the easy way out!' I was so angry, how dare she knock on my door and then offend me by saying this... I may have taken her the wrong way, I have no idea about their practice but I was deeply offended. I believe that I was choosen to have two special girls because I am strong, patient and loving and I am able to give them everything they need to thrive, I was so angry that she knocked on my door and told me that my way of thinking was 'taking the easy way out' after explaining that she had two healthy children, grrr.

Sorry I didn't mean to turn this into a negative, just wanted to explain that this message came to me when I needed it most and reinforced that my girls were 'given' to me for the reasons I believed all along.

    Thankyou .

Oh, that's amazing I don't even believe in "the big guy upstairs" but what a lovely story in any case... I like to think that there's a reason each special child is given to their parents, and this is a great way of putting it.
