Still not actually eating anything? I came on here ooh I dunno a cple months back for some advice on how to stary BSL. We've kind of ended up doing things 50/50 but the 50% finger food still isn't actually being eaten. I'm not sure what to do, DD is 8 months old now (1 month prem) she will try anything I give her in either form but will only eat pureed stuff, anything on a spoon with lumps in gets "filtered" & the lumps are promptly pushed out! Finger foods will always be given a whirl, she will touch it taste it & suck on it but as soon as something gets broken off & in the mouth she will spit it out. Everyone said it takes a few weeks for them to actually start eating something but its been a couple months now. Any tips?

She will have porridge for brekkie, if she takes a small portion I will offer her toast. Lunch is generally pureed but I offer her a small sandwich ( I have tried doing this the other way round BTW, sandwich 1st then puree but same outcome), evening meal would be puree & some steam veg or a piece of chicken to try. We had some success this week with macaroni cheese, i had to blend it as the pasta was way to big but she ate the whole lot little lumps & all. Do you think I should just keep plugging away like I'm doing? Snacks are things like crackers & baby biscuits which get sucked to death & then discarded. I've tried small pieces of fruit but she's totally uninterested.

Shuold I be worried or do you reckon she will just start when she is ready? She still has not teeth & is teething badly so perhaps puree is just easier for her at the mo???
