Gagging is lots of noise and activity, usually followed by a big spit or spew to dislodge the bit that tickled the gag reflex.
Choking is silent (generally). It's when the food has gone down but lodged in the airway.
DD2 goes quite red when she gags! But she's not doing it much now, which suggests she's getting the hang of it. I wipe up any spit up and let her continue. Doesn't seem to bother her at all.
Hot1 - DD2 is eating rice. Why would she need rice cereal?chilli con carne for lunch today.
