Good point Mumma Sue. I've been a big "Food is fun" advocate but yeah, what happens when they turn one? Is it some magical massive eating increase? My DD still goes through phases. She used to inhale nectarines and plums and now won't touch them. She used to love dates, then went off them but now loves them again. I am just needing to offer her lots of food often. It does mean lots of waste though. I would say DD only eats about 20% of the food we actually give her and I'm the same as you, I cook things from scratch and she just throws them on the floor!! It's heartbreaking. Luckily their little smiles make up for it.

With the food thing, I agree to try and give solids before boob and also maybe just try giving her foods she really likes and not worry about balance for the first meal of the day? I've noticed DD loves these gluten free orange and almond biscuits that have a chocolate base and if she's not eating but has had a little nibble on some things, I will give her a bit of one, she'll eat that and then go back for more of the other food. It's like she "remembers" that eating is okay.

Big hugs and happy early birthday to your LO!!
