    I think if Jad was just the shortened version of a longer name it would be better...

    Im still not totally convinced against it yet!

    I think it sounds more like a nickname. I don't know if I'd use it. I don't love it, but I don't dislike it.

    I don't like it sorry. I agree that it sounds like Chad or Jed being spelled incorrectly.

    As someone who has gone from a plain boring maiden name to a married name I have to repronounce and spell all the time... different is not always good.

    It looks like Jade with the "e" missing. We affectionately call a friend "Jad Jad" but I'm sorry I think it's part of a name.

    I don't like it either, sorry. It looks like an incomplete name. I also agree that it could be mistaken for Chad when said aloud.
