Anyone feel like helping me hash out a boys name?

I'm SO lost on a name for our baby if we have a boy! I'll give you my faves and my concerns/thoughts and I'd love some further thoughts and input

My 2.5yo son is Espen M Kelsie. The M is my H's name following a family tradition so this baby will have a name from my side of the family.

I'll start with middle names as they've been hard. I don't want to use any family names from my Dad or grandparents. I can't think of a good variant for my name. Other option is to use the meaning of my Mum's middle name, Gaye, and use a name that means happy. I really like this idea and my fave name with that meaning is Felix.

I love X names but will a middle name with an X make it too many X names? Any other middle name ideas??

    How about:

Baxter Felix Kelsie- how does Baxter go with Espen too? Baxter seems a bit more 'formal' tome but H thinks it sounds fun... what do you think?

Baxley Felix Kelsie- too much with the "e" sound at the end of the first and surname?

Paxon Felix Kelsie- too much with an "n" sound at the end of both children's names?

Griffin Felix Kelsie- same issue with the "n" sound and do you think Griffin is becoming a fairly common name? We like unique names.

Zeke Felix Kelsie- I love Zeke but is the "ke" at the end then beginning of the names too much?

    Help please!!

    :yeahthat: my thoughts too

(my nephews name is Felix )

I guess if you like 'x' in names would you prefer the 'x' in the first or middle name ... or both names ?? and maybe you could decide from there

    Thanks for thinking of me!

I've gone back with my gut and decided this little guy is supposed to be called Felix. So I've decided on the name Felix Blaze.

Looking at this thread again though Griffin Felix is still a hot contender!

I like Baxter and I think it goes well with Espen - cool and unusual. Bax is a good nickname.

I like griffin and zeke the best.. Theyre both quite unique and don't sound too much with the middle name Felix

I'm really keen on Bax and Baxie as nicknames!!

Yup- that's what a figured. It's jumping up the US charts too.

You're all not much help as a group as every name seems to rate a like- except for no-one seems to like Baxley

For the Zeke fans... you really don't think Zeke Kelsie is a mouthful? I'm in two minds... sometimes it seems okay then other times it seems awkward.

Yeah, I think Zeke Kelsie is a bit awkward to say. I have been sitting here saying it aloud over and over! It doesn't flow seamlessly. Either the k's flow together or you have to make a deliberate stop before going on to say 'Kelsie', ITMS? But maybe that isn't a problem for you?

Griffin is becoming common in my neck of the woods.

I prefer Baxter. I'm not a fan of Baxley (it sounds too 'made up' to me) or Paxon.

Good luck Meow! Not long to go now.....
