    Baby Boy #2's name...

    Hi everyone..

I didnt realise how hard it was going to be to find a name I love as much as our sons.. Our little man is Caidyn and I loved the name from the day we picked it.. Problem is I am pretty sure we are having another boy and i havnt found anything I love as much.. I feel bad the baby is getting an "OK" name instead of a great one!!

I Have 2 that i like: Harrison and Rylan

Harrison is a bit more common and I am not real keen on "Harry", I know people will automatically nick-name him!

I have liked Rylan for a while now, after hearing it at work.. It is a bit different like Caidyn I suppose.. My husband at first thought it was a bit girly??

Any feedback you have would be great!! We only have a weeks to decide.....

I know how u feel, we felt the same too!

Rylan was a name I liked but the meaning is Land where Rye is grown, I personally like names that have a good meaning behind them but still think it's a great name and not girly!

We have chosen Spencer for this one

    so...

As someone whom is expecting her second boy any day now I can empathise with your dilemma. We still are yet to finalise a 'great' name and it bugs me to tears.

There a few OK names that are on a shortlist but nothing seems to gel like it did with DS1.

Hope you can find a solution to your problem.......

    I like Rylan.
Our 1st DD was easy, my DH came home from work and said he found a great name on a notice board. Our 2nd DD had her name picked out but when she was born the name just wasn't right so she was unnamed for a few hours.
Its hard but the right name will come in time. Just be careful with initials as my mums were MAD

Another suggestion here ... on my boy's list i had Kyan, Kynan, Keenan & i don't mind Ryan ... though Rylan is different and i do like it

I had Kiah on my shortlist but we ended up with Aiden. I like Rylan

I really like Rylan. It was on my list but but we didnt end up using it as we thought it sounded a little bit made up (it isn't obviously). Ryder is cute too. Harrison is just soo common at the moment. How about Harris?

How about Aricyn as an alternative to Harrison?

Sounds the same (sorta) but not as common...

Oh - and he never gets it shortened to anything - he's known as Aricyn and nothing else. (well we call him chicken too.. lol)

I think Rylan Oscar sounds good...I am always just one that checks that the initials don't spell something too!
