    I don't like it as a boy's name either.

    Archie is a nice Scottish name, I forgot to add to my earlier list

    Archie is a bit too young. I don't see it as a grown up name KWIM? As much as I like the scottish feel for names I don't like the full on ones like Hamish, Seamus & Angus. I mostly don' like Seamus because written down it could be mistaken for Semen LOL

    When I hear Archie, I think of an elderly landowner dressed in tweed and sporting a shotgun but I see what you mean
