Barnaby Joyce causes me 11th hour name uncertainty!

We haven't agreed on our name yet but if I get my way bub was to be called Barnaby. I love the name and the nickname, Barney.

But... every time I hear mention of the politician Barnaby Joyce, I shudder! He seems like a good bloke, but I don't like his politics, and he is on the rise - what if he's the 'next John Howard'? I couldn't do that to my son!

So... I'm after more ideas of quirky boys names, I lke classic 'British' names or names that sound like surnames.

It has to go with DP's surname 'HAND' which really limits our choices (especially if you have a dirty mind!)

On that note, "THE NAME" that i'd always had for years to call my son was Daly.... but I can't do Daly (Daily) Hand! Others we've knocked out are Harrison = Harry = Hairy Hand; Manning = Manhand; Walsh Hand = wash your hands; Baxter Hand = Backhand, etc etc! Too funny really!

I sort of think as well, that politicians don't stick around forever. I mean, what, PM's are around for a few years, but by the time he hits late primary school/early high school and starts to know who politicians are, will Barnaby Joyce still be around?
