I have a new name to add to the mix! I think this could well be it...or at least a hot contender

    Ethan

I'm liking it a lot more than Orlando and so is DH. It goes well with our surname and we could use either Isaac or Oliver as a middle name.

Hamish will definitely stay on the list and I think Jacob will too even though J names do scare me a bit It is a gorgeous name, a family name on both sides and we both love Jake for short.

Now how to shorten Ethan Would I be OK with the lack of nickname-ness?

    I like Nathaniel and Miles.
Nathaniel is a great name but it was my sisters 'first love' (we all loved him!) and her hubby is actually Nathan so the name has kind of been 'done' by my sister, IYKWIM! LOL! Miles is cute but we watch Home and Away and therefore Miles will always be 'Milko' or Sally's big brother to us, PMSL.

Nickers - the few names I really like on your list have already been taken by family or friends too. I can't believe how hard boy names are!!

I like Ethan Definitely my fave out of Orlando or Hamish. I think Ethan Jacob is nice He would probably get called Ethy when he's little.. My baby boy will be Jett and as if he will be naughty!! He'll be a good little Mama's boy..

I like Jacob with your surname and it goes with I's name well too. Not a big fan of Orlando and I don't think Hamish H sounds as good as others.

Are you finding out the gender at your next scan? We found out this time round to halve the name fight/discussion!

William goes well with your DD name

A friend of mine who had a son this year wanted to call him Xavier, but her DP didn't like it either but liked something similar so they ended up goig with Z a v i a n.

Can't really be much help with boys names - DS wasn't named for 2 days because there wasn't a name I loved (or even liked all that much!)
