My son's name is Jake, you could also spell it Jayke for something different (I'm kicking myself I didn't think of that before he was born, I think it's a really cool way to spell it!)

I think Joel is a great solid name. What have you thought of for middle names?

Don't kick yourself, telling everyone "it's JAYKE with a Y, no not Jake, but it's pronounced the same" and correcting everyone who spells it wrong on papers would get old after about five minutes. Believe me, I have a common name with an uncommon spelling, so I know what that's like.

    boys names beginning with J

Hi we have managed to create a tradition in our household with four boys that all have a J middle name, so of course these J names are dear to me :

    James
    Jack
    Jake
    John
( looks like fifth baby will be Joseph)

    Good luck
