What do you all think of the boys name Dashiell?

How would you pronounce it? Correct pronounciation is Dash'll/Dash-ull but wondering if many would say it as Dash-ee-elle.

What do you think of the nn Dash?

Would love your thoughts! I love it, DP loves Dash but isn't sold..

Hmmm. It sounds a bit ghetto Haha! But, if you love it, then go for it. The main opinion on our boys name is no way Josè, but we still love it.

Love Dash - just remember the kid has to say it and spell it everywhere he goes. Sorry I work in admin for health services and constantly have to have people spell their names. However since its an unusual name you could get away with it. I hate names that are traditional but then spelt unusually cos they have to spell it to everyone forever..... :P

    I read it as Dash-eel.

    Sorry, really not into it.

I know a Dash. He's just Dash though. When I first heard it, I was horrified (he's as old as DD1), but I've actually grown to love it and it was on our list for DD2.

I always thought it was pronounced Dash-eel.

I'd say Dasheel, I like Dash as a nn, but not the full name.

I know a little boy named Dash, he's one of the coolest spunkiest little dudes around, besides my Chevy-bear of course! Love the name

I absolutely love it, especially shortened to Dash.

Dashiell reminds me of the famous American author who wrote The Maltese Falcon. A favourite of mine
