DH hates the name.... And I'm due in 2 weeks!

Hi ladies

I posted a name on here a while back on your thoughts about Saana Lilli but we've finally discussed names and DH is not keen on it at all.

Good news is that weve come up with something else that we do agree on, which is also a Finnish name, it's Maija (in english it would be the same as Maya). Only problem is I think I like Amaija better.

What are your thoughts on Amaija Lilli or Maija Lilli. I need honest opinions (which I know I'll get here that's why I posted). I cant think of any nicknames or if she will be teased at school etc, so your thoughts are appreciated

Also, my sons name is Kai so is it too similar???

I think they both sound beautiful. We have a gorgeous little friend Maya and I love her name.

Kids will usually always find a nickname if they want to but from those names, any "obvious" ones don't stand out to me. Sorry, not much help!

I like Maija better than Amaija. Even though you like Amaija better do you still like Maija if so I would go with that if you still like it and DH likes it

And I don't think it is too similar to Kai.

i like both i think i like maija lilli better just due to the fact amaija lilli might not get pronounced properly...

but for the unusual factor that get in to lol im with amaija lilli i luv unusual namessss... i think they are the best

we had two names to chose from for our DD but couldn't decide which one but 3hrs after her birth it was very easy to workout which one suited her !!

... you will feel the choice come from the heart, you will know so don't worry for now and just enjoy the next 2weeks of her pregnancy journey
