Those who dislike it, do you think its an old biddy name? Limeslice suggested Mabel as an alternative but to me that's an old ladies name. Might be just my interpretation though.
LOL am kind of glad I didn't name DD Agatha, everyone seems to dislike it rofl! Aparently in Greek it means "manly" which is why DP refused.
Nee - yeah I think it is a bit of an old name, but there are many older names I like more...
Like Agnes, which has a fabulous meaning and etymology behind it, but many people dont like it lol

After all, your daughter is going to be the most beautiful, coolest girl in the universe. She might become the most popular girl in school, then the hundreds of kids at the school will associate the name Margot with awesomeness.
I think its a nice name to say, it has a nice sound to it.
I like the name Margot, but wouldn't choose it for myself just a bit old fashioned for my taste. The female vocalist in DH band is a Margot and she is an amazing woman with a great voice. PLUS there is that spunky chick on Neighbours named Margot (donna is her character) she is gorgeous.
At the end of the day, no matter what you name your baby others will love it too when they see the two together.
